Adrienne Wallace
PBP–Solidarity candidate for Carlow–Kilkenny
Cllr Adrienne Wallace is a graduate from Carlow College. She is a well-known activist and has been sitting on Carlow Council since 2019 where she has remained a thorn in the side of the establishment. This is her third general election having more than doubled her vote in 2020. 'Through grassroots activism, I’ve fought for a women’s refuge in Carlow. I also founded the Repeal the 8th groups in Carlow and Kilkenny. As a family carer, I’ve been raising the serious issues with regards to the lack of local supports and school places for children with special needs. I also spearheaded initiatives to address vacancy and dereliction and pushed Carlow Council to support the BDS movement in solidarity with Palestine.'
