Caitríona Ní Chatháin
PBP–Solidarity candidate for Clare
Caitríona is from Clare and is a teacher, activist and an organiser. She is active in her trade union and stood as a socialist - feminist candidate in the recent Limerick mayoral elections. A key issue for Caitríona in this general election is the provision of public affordable housing and a break with housing as a commodity. She has campaigned on healthcare, LGBTQ rights, reproductive rights, gender violence, anti-racism and Palestinian solidarity. Caitríona stands for an end to US troops and US military using Shannon and no to facilitating exports for genocide in Gaza in our airspace. At a time of growing inequality, a vote for Caitríona would be a vote for a political programme that puts the wellbeing of people and the planet before corporate profits.
