Dundalk is a town I’m proud to call my home. I’m a former Dundalk FC youth player, my dad is a local security worker and all my life I’ve seen a Dundalk that’s less than what it could be. This rundown of our communities is the result of the failed policies of Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and their mudguards in Labour and the Green Party. They rule solely in the interests of big corporations, not ordinary people. I think another Dundalk is possible, one where we tackle the horrors of homelessness, lack of healthcare and poverty through radical policies that put people before corporate profits.
