Joanne Collins has worked in Sales, Marketing and Financial Compliance, and is a qualified SNA. She volunteers in her local community and currently holds the position of chairperson of Cappagh Community Creche. Joanne is passionate about protecting rural Ireland. She lives in Cappagh, Askeaton while building her family home in Carrigkerry with her husband Trevor and four children. Not from a political background, Joanne sought out politics as a means to fix the problems she could see around her, and chose the party seeking the radical changes she was working for. Joanne has been active on local and national issues such as; better working conditions for firefighters, fighting to keep banking services in our rural towns, campaigning to reinstate the no fault eviction ban, seeking action on crises in UHL and keeping the ongoing cost of living crisis on the political agenda. As a mother of four Joanne has experienced first hand some of the hardships facing families and is very eager to find ways to alleviate the pressures families are enduring.
