Johnny lives in Enniscorthy with his wife Barbara. First elected to the Dáil in 2020 with a record 18,717 first preference votes, Johnny has worked diligently on behalf of the people of Wexford. Johnny previously served as a member of Wexford County Council, and proudly served as the last Cathaoirleach of Enniscorthy Town Council. A former ESB worker, he was active in the Unite Union. An active follower of the GAA, Johnny has coached both codes of GAA, and also coached senior and under-age rugby teams.
