Originally from Dublin, Maria was elected to Meath County Council in June 2024. With extensive leadership experience as a school principal of ten years, she currently serves on multiple Boards including LMETB and DIFE. Having previously worked with Focus Ireland, Maria has a deep understanding of homelessness. Her recent activism has primarily focused on increasing Garda resources and community policing, transport and road safety issues. She works tirelessly advocating for constituents.
