Incumbent TDI was first elected in October 2014 on my firm opposition to the water charges and commitment to build a people-power movement to defeat them. I have used my position to make a dfference for working people since. In the last Dáil term, I strongly opposed the government’s attempt to roll back Irish neutrality and join NATO. I exposed the corruption of four ministers and won a High Court case against SIPO to force them to investigate Leo Varadkar for leaking a contract. I introduced Bills for (You can see more of my work here.) I am a longtime campaigner for Palestinian liberation and was imprisoned in Israel in 2011 for taking part in the Freedom Flotilla which sought to break the blockade of Gaza.
