Pearse lives in Goath Dobhair with his wife Róisín and four sons. He is Sinn Féin’s Deputy Dáil Leader, Finance Spokesperson and TD for Donegal since the 2010 by-election. Passionate and tireless, Pearse has been Donegal’s voice in the Dáil, consistently challenging the government on the many issues facing the county. He has also led the charge in taking on the insurance industry and tackling the cost-of-living crisis. Pearse is a director and one of the founders of Sult music festival. The non-profit community festival located in the Donegal Gaeltacht attracts thousands of attendees on an annual basis. A native Irish speaker, Pearse is a keen promoter of the Irish language and the development of Gaeltacht regions.
