Fianna Fáil candidate for Dublin Mid-West

Cllr Shane Moynihan is the Fianna Fáil general election candidate for Dublin Mid-West. Since 2019, Shane has been a councillor for Palmerstown-Fonthill, representing communities in Lucan, Palmerstown and Clondalkin. A Lucan native, Shane attended Archbishop Ryan NS in Balgaddy, St. Kevin’s Community College and Coláiste Chilliain in Clondalkin. He holds a degree in Economics and Politics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Statistics, and a PhD in Political Science from Trinity College Dublin. Shane has been deeply involved in his community for many years. He is a former secretary of his local GAA club, serves on three school boards, is a director of ACE Enterprise Park in Clondalkin, and chairs the Ballyowen Community Centre board in Lucan. Married with three boys, Shane is committed to being a strong voice for Dublin Mid-West. His priorities include: ensuring public services work for everyone, increasing Garda presence where and when needed, delivering reliable and frequent public transport services, expanding community resources, providing more homes for young people, and guaranteeing enough local school places with smaller class sizes.
