A proud Cork man, on his election in 2020 Thomas Gould became the first ever TD from Knocknaheeny. He lives in Gurranabraher with his wife Michelle and their two daughters. He is a stalwart member of St Vincent’s Hurling and Football Club and the Northside Schools Coaching Initiative. Prior to his election as a TD, Thomas was a manager in logistics and served for 11 years on Cork City Council. As the party’s spokesperson on Addiction and Recovery, Thomas believes in tackling poverty and resourcing recovery journeys. He is also a junior spokesperson on Housing and sits on the Oireachtas Housing Committee where he is passionate about social housing, vacancy, dereliction and people being locked out of home ownership. He fights tirelessly to end the neglect of the Northside and deliver for local communities.
